Mary Ross studied at Massachusetts College of Art. She was a Landscape painter initially, taking most of her inspiration from nature. For many years Mary has been exploring Collage, combining her painting expertise with beautiful handmade papers. Her fanciful works in Collage include the imaginary world of mermaids, abstracts, fun owls with charming names, elephants, and woodland scenes to name just a few of her subjects. Mary states, “I’ve always thought my fantasy world was triggered by my childhood reading of fairy tales”. The paintings and collages of Mary Ross are in many permanent collections throughout the United States and Europe.
