"Some of us find ourselves off the beaten path, trying out various interests to find our own way. As a young child, I always enjoyed making things inspired by nature. Growing up on a 12 acre Vermont farm, I spent many sunny afternoons exploring the brooks, fields, and forests by my home looking for inspiration in the world around me. With minimal resources but plenty of tools and time at my disposal, I was able to teach myself to make my own toys out of found materials like fallen wood, deer antler, and metal scavenged from other household objects. Captivated by the process of discovery and creativity, I wanted to continue to learn to craft objects that reminded me of my favorite things." Matthew Hall is a small business owner.
