Luca and Carolina of Valfaccenda craft “purist” Nebbiolo and Arneis from the steep, sandy slopes of Roero’s Canale sub region . This blend of Nebbiolo is fermented with a portion of whole cluster and a few days of skin contact before being pressed via wooden basket and age and old Slavonian oak barrels. A far cry from most Arneis that is made in a more international style, Luca and Carolina are dedicated to crafting “ white nebbiolo” , In the more serious, intellectual style of decades past-the style that gained Arneis from Roero its’ reputation in the first place.
