This bottle of red is a Cabernet Franc from the Saumur-Champigny region in the Loire Valley. The other specificity of the Saumur-Champigny appellation is to benefit from a micro climate. This advantage comes from its geographical location in a triangle formed by the Loire, its tributary the Thouet and the Forêt de Fontevraud.
Tasting Notes:
This is a textbook Cabernet Franc with dark cherry and plum fruit that melds nicely with tobacco and savory accents. Minerality and forest floor runs throughout this balanced, fresh red.
