More than a wine tasting, The Drawing Room’s Wine Salon Series pushes your boundaries when it comes to wine, art, science, and narrative. Join us on these Sunday afternoons for a “salon” approach to the familiar and not-so. Events are virtual until safe to move to in-person salons.

    “It’s more than wine appreciation, it’s an exploration of wine and the role it plays in our lives,” explains Corey Nuffer, writer-in-residence and ambassador at Westport Rivers and our own guide for The Drawing Room’s Wine Salon Series.

    “We’ll focus on different aspects of wine: romance, the meditative act of inhaling wine, practical pairings and why they work. Wine is complex, both chemically and culturally, and that’s what we’ll explore each month.”

    Tickets for virtual salons cost $15. The fee is waived with the purchase of a wine bundle.

    February. Romance. Wine. These ideas converge in ways that usually mean red or pink wines, chocolate, and fine dining.

    Translation: a sensual, memorable experience. Given how we’ve all been cooped up for the past year or so, we’re going to take things virtual with a proper tour through our cellars, as well as an in-depth look at riddling and disgorging of our champagne methods, something that we’ve never done virtually before.

    Sip on our brand new release, our 2019 Pinot Noir while watching, and then we’ll circle back for discussion, including a special wine cocktail recipe developed especially for the salon.

    Registration costs $15
