About the Artist

Mike Holmes produces seascapes of the Buzzards Bay, Vineyard Sound, Nantucket Sound area where the artist has spent many years boating. Currently creating digitally and making giclee prints along with traditional methods, acrylic, watercolor and pencil on canvas and paper. As a visual arts major in college, Mike was in England for a year where he to studied the masters at the London museums as well as visiting museums in France, Italy, and the Netherlands. Over the years Mike has received awards in various art shows and shown in galleries such as: The Copley Society in Boston, Norton Gallery in South Dartmouth, Island Gallery in Vineyard Haven, and South Street Gallery in Hingham.
