About the Artist

Mary Jameson's inspiration is driven by her relationship to the Ocean. To create, she uses seaweed and a variety of organic materials collected from the intertidal zones along the coast. Using seaweed as a medium in art making has connected Mary to her local environment in a very literal sense. For most people, seaweed is a nuisance.
