Open 7 days a week at 22 William Street in historic downtown New Bedford

Laurie Goddard has pursued her love of photography for over 50 years. her work has evolved from black and white to color. "Processing my own black and white works was ablout the challenge of creating a work of art through contrasts of lights and dards, textures and shapes. Later, using color film, the challenge became the added dimension of using the color in such a way as to enhance the graphic quality of the piece.

The highlight of her pursuit was attending a week long workshop in Santa Fe taught by veteran National Geographic Magazine photographer, Robb Kendrick. She has been inspired by numerous photographers, in particular Frederic Evans, Elliot Porter, and Ansel Adams. "I want the viewer to pause a moment, to really look, to see those details and the beauty therein."

In the past, Laurie has been a member of Gallery 65 on William in downtown New Bedford and she was the showcase artist for one of WHALE's fundraising events. She has participated in a number of juried shows and photographed events for the Women's Fund and The Buzzards Bay Coalition while her work hangs in a number of private homes.

It all starts with an idea, full of potential, and ready to be transformed. Let's discover what we can create together.
