Butch McCarthy has painted since he was a boy and dabbled in the arts off and on between a music career and other pursuits. It was not until he retired that he found the time to get serious about his art and open his studio. Since 2017 he has painted over 500 pieces and sold more than a quarter of them. He finds painting very rewarding and paints every day as a form of meditation.
