This sparkling wine—or spumante in Italian—is made using the Charmat Method (aka Metodo Italiano), a sparkling winemaking process that traps bubbles in wine via carbonation in large steel tanks. This process involves 5 stages over a 10-day period to complete. The results are a dry, elegant, light, and refreshing wine with fresh fruit character. No additional sugar has been added to this wine; only the natural residual sugar remains.
